He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Washington, D.C., followed by his medical degree and internal medicine residency in Toledo, Ohio. During his decade in Toledo, he trained medical students and residents while also stepping into leadership roles focused on quality improvement and population health. In 2021, Dr. Ikezuagu joined ThedaCare Health in northeast Wisconsin, where he currently serves as Vice President and Chief Quality and Safety Officer. In this role, he leads transformative initiatives to advance health outcomes and ensure the safety and well-being of patients, communities, and care teams. He also serves as Associate Program Director for the ThedaCare Internal Medicine Residency Program, which will welcome its inaugural class in July 2026. Dr. Ikezuagu is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Certified Physician Executive. He and his wife are deeply rooted in their faith and community, actively serving in various ministries and on the board of their local church. Together with their four children, ages 5 to 15, they enjoy road trips, biking, exploring parks and lakes, and spending time in scripture and prayer as a family.
