Dear Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants,
I am writing you on behalf of the Pediatric Surgical Physician Assistant Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Baylor College of Medicine. We are conducting a research project seeking to investigate whether longevity of practice effects job satisfaction within Physician Assistants. We would like to invite you and your program alumni to take part in our research.
The purpose of this study is to provide a means to analyze the various aspects of a PA’s career which contribute most significantly to long term job satisfaction and retention rates in relation to years of experience. This study will specifically compare physician assistants that have more than ten years of practice experience to physician assistants with less than ten years of practice experience. Additionally, this study will compare different aspects of a PA’s career in relation to overall satisfaction ratings. This will ultimately serve to improve retention rates among all practice settings as well as provide the individual PA with relevant data for career planning.
We invite you and your alumni to participate in this study about your career as a Physician Assistant. The survey is completely anonymous and responses are confidential. The survey will only take about five minutes of your time. There is no compensation provided for taking the survey. You can decide whether to continue with the survey or not after reading the information about the study. You can choose not to finish the questionnaire or omit any question you prefer not to answer without penalty or loss of benefits. By submitting this questionnaire, you are giving your consent to participate.
