Additional Information
The LBGT PA Caucus is a very small grassroots 501(c)(3) org that is volunteer led - we’ll start earlier next year!
We’re offering an a web-based CME on HIV pharmacology and clinical resources presented by 2 PA colleagues (Sam W from Stanford and Diane B from Yale) who just authored chapters in the same Pharmacology text book. They’re also both CDC clinical ambassadors for the “Let’s End HIV Together” campaign.
We tapped them to do a talk during National LGBT Health Awareness Week for the Caucus. It’ll be pretty laid back, just 1 hour, but what PA wouldn’t benefit from knowing a little more about pharmacology to improve the care of their adolescent and adult patients?!!
Many states are on the CDC’s high priority list needing greater attention on this issue of HIV, and since PAs are responsible for 4 million patient visits a year and WE ARE THE SOLUTION.
Details about the CME are here (learning issues, etc.): https://lbgtpa.org/event-4205440
