NYSSPA and NJSSPA’s yearlong Cancer Series continues with a program on Head and Neck Cancers. This lecture will include a brief overview on the subject of head and neck cancers and focus on updates on prevention, screening, staging and treatment.  At the end of the 45-minute lecture participants will have an opportunity to engage with the speaker during a 15 minute Q&A session. 

Many PAs practice in primary care and are often times involved with their patient’s cancer work-up.  Cancer prevention, screening, staging, and treatment guidelines are constantly evolving as new data emerges.  PAs who do not regularly treat Head & Neck Cancer may have a knowledge gap on the most updated guidelines.

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able:

1. To provide PAs a review on Head & Neck Cancer
2. To educate PAs on updated screening & prevention guidelines for Head & Neck Cancer
3. To educate PAs on updated staging & treatment guidelines for Head & Neck Cancer
