Practice Setting

• Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery service
• Full hospital support staff, including ICU team
• Average 6-10 patients per day in CTICU
• Cases include pre- and post-op management for CABG, valve surgery, aortic procedures, and ECMO patients

Schedule

• 12 shifts per month - 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Block scheduling available - work 1-week blocks with flexibility to plan your month
• Summer coverage weeks still open
• No call or surgical responsibility

Procedures and Cases

• Admissions and consults to cardiac surgery service
• Manage AVR, MVR, CABG, ascending aorta, ECMO
• Perform radial arterial lines and central lines

Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant with ACLS
• 2+ years of Cardiovascular Surgery experience
• Pennsylvania license required at time of assignment
• Open to locums or temp-to-perm availability

Credentialing Requirements

• Credentialing takes approximately 60-90 days
• Full support provided throughout the process
