Position Description

We are seeking a family practice or internal medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our team in our Farmington, NM office! You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Job Details:

  • Established 4-provider family practice in Farmington, New Mexico, with a friendly working environment.
  • Four-day or five-day work week.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000
  • Bonus program.
  • Full Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, IRA, IRA-matching contribution by company.
  • $5,000 Moving Bonus, if you move to the Farmington area.

Location Details:

Located in the northwest corner of New Mexico, Farmington is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. Farmington is a city of 45,000 and the commercial hub of the area. It has great shopping opportunities, two high schools, private schools and state of the art medical facilities.  It also offers year-round sports, theater, and art events. Farmington also boasts comfortable year-round weather for our outstanding bike and ATV trails.  Navajo Lake State Park just 30 miles away offers camping, boating and fishing.  We are located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, 45 miles south of Durango, Colorado and 70 miles southwest of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, with plenty of hiking, skiing and mountain activities to explore.  

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses.
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
  • Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to build rapport with patients and build a loyal patient base.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with staff and other providers.
