We are hiring for a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

People First in Las Cruces

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Be part of establishing a strong, collaborative team at our new Intensivist program at Memorial Medical Center.
  • Work with the Intensivist Program Medical Director and the Sound Tele-ICU Intensivist to care for patients in the ICU.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified Physician Assistant.
  • Prior experience practicing in the ICU as a physician assistant. 2-3 years post-graduate practice preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage a high volume of complex cases, including critical interventions such as intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and thoracentesis.
  • Ability to collaboratively work with team members inside and outside of the ICU.
Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

  • Advanced Practice Provider 12-hour, onsite night coverage, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. in collaboration with tele-ICU

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care to patients in the medical/surgical ICU, admitting patients to the medical ICU, and collaborating to care for patients in the surgical ICU.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently assess, examine, and provide care to critically ill patients, including procedures. They will present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU, work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team, committing to excellence in clinical service while demonstrating problem-solving abilities necessary to serve our patients first
