Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work closely with our orthopedic surgeons in providing comprehensive care to patients with various orthopedic conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic care. If you are passionate about patient care, have a keen eye for detail, and are able to make a quick, informed decisions, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Perform physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
- Assist physicians during orthopedic procedures such as total knee arthroplasties and total hip arthroplasties.
- Educate patients and their families on orthopedic care and treatment options.
- Monitor and ensure the effective delivery of therapy and medication to patients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in orthopedics and related medical fields.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and diagnosis.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and interpretation.
- Knowledge of critical care protocols and procedures.
- Understanding of various ailments affecting diverse populations.
- Excellent data collection and analytical skills for patient management.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Qualifications
1. A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution2. Current certification as a PA3. Proven experience in orthopedic care4. Proficiency in interpreting X-rays, MRI's and CT scans5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment7. Strong commitment to patient care and a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of patients8. Active state licensure and DEA registration9.
