Job Description

If you are looking for a collaborative, dynamic, physician-led practice environment where you can learn, grow, and excel in providing integrated, multidisciplinary, patient centered care, then Starling Physicians is the place to be! We are currently seeking a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with our Cardiology Physicians providing patient care in the outpatient office.

Requirements include:

• Current Connecticut State APN or PA License

• Board Certified

• Cardiology experience preferred

• BLS and ACLS certification required

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and time management skills

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluations in an outpatient setting

• Manage and monitor chronic cardiac conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and coronary artery disease

• Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac diagnostics

• Perform stress tests

• Review and manage test results, labs, and imaging; communicate findings and next steps with patients promptly

• Provide patient advice and triage over the phone for individuals experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, or medication concerns

• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists

• Educate patients and families about heart disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications

• Coordinate care with other specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary staff

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
