The Opportunity
MultiCare Health System is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to support a busy Endocrinologist in our Surgical Oncology Thyroid Nodule Clinic. This unique role blends clinic-based care with operative responsibilities, offering advanced practice providers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in the management of thyroid nodules and endocrine-related surgical oncology.
Position Highlights
Clinic + OR Balance: Provide patient evaluation, education, and follow-up in the clinic while also assisting in the operating room.
Operative Skills: Participate in procedures with surgical oncology colleagues; robotic surgery experience strongly preferred.
Collaborative Team: Work alongside an Endocrinologist, surgical oncologists, nurses, and a multidisciplinary care team.
Call Component: Participate in structured call rotation for continuity of care.
Professional Growth: Develop subspecialty expertise at the intersection of endocrinology and surgical oncology.
What You’ll Do
Evaluate and manage patients with thyroid nodules and endocrine conditions requiring surgical collaboration.
Assist in OR procedures, including robotic and minimally invasive techniques.
Provide pre-op and post-op care, including patient education and follow-up.
Partner with the endocrinologist and surgical oncology team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Share in call responsibilities for the service line.

The Ideal Candidate
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (or eligible) in Washington State.
Prior experience in surgery, oncology, or endocrinology preferred.
Robotic surgical skills and comfort with operative procedures strongly valued.
Ability to thrive in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented.

Starting Base Compensation: $136,984-$157,453.00

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $136,984.00 - $185,795.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
