Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic emergency medicine team. The APP will provide comprehensive care to patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions, performing typical emergency room procedures in collaboration with our board-certified emergency physicians. This role requires clinical excellence, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform medical evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment for patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions.

• Conduct emergency procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess incision and drainage.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure quality and timely patient care.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the EMR system.

• Adhere to established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant Program.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 or more years of experience working in a clinical or emergency/urgent care setting.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid State Nurse Practitioner License or Physician Assistant License.

• Current State D.E.A. Certificate.

• Certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
