  • Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is supported by multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, vascular surgery, and Ob/Gyn. Interventional Radiology services are also available.
  • In addition to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, The Alaska Hospitalist Group also provides hospitalist services at Central Peninsula Hospital, St. Elias Specialty Hospital, and Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Living and Working in the Mat-Su Valley

  • Alaska has so much to offer! The Matanuska-Susitna (Mat-Su) Valley is one of Alaska’s fastest-growing regions, known for its stunning mountain views, welcoming communities, and endless outdoor recreation. The Valley includes the towns of Palmer and Wasilla—each offering its own charm and small-town feel while still being just an hour from Anchorage.
  • Surrounded by the Chugach mountains, the area features countless trails for hiking, biking, snowmachining, and skiing, along with lakes and rivers perfect for fishing, boating, and kayaking. Residents enjoy local farmers’ markets, cozy cafés, golf courses, and community events year-round. The region combines the beauty of Alaska’s wilderness with the convenience of modern living and a strong sense of community.
  • In addition to Alaska’s stunning natural beauty, you can also enjoy the financial advantage of having no state income tax. Alaska also pays its residents a yearly dividend from oil revenues, from the Permanent Fund Dividend.
  • Most of us at The Alaska Hospitalist Group have a passion for the beauty and adventure that Alaska has to offer, including photography, fishing, mountain biking, skiing, boating, and aviation. We spend time with our families and outdoors during our time off, while the flexible schedule permits coverage for one another when we are out.
