Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) or Physician (MD)

Winchester Hospital

Operating Room

Join the OR team at Winchester Hospital by assisting specialist physicians in the coordination and delivery of high quality, safe patient care. This position also provides care for our inpatients, under the supervision of our physicians, and collaborates with the rest of the health care team, including the patient and patients family/significant others, to achieve expected outcomes. This position is a credentialed member of the Hospital’s medical and allied healthcare staff and is an independent licensed professional

Requirements

• Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)-approved program (prior to January 2001: Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs)
• Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License
• Clinical experience in Surgical Services
• Ability to first assist in the operating room
• Ability to perform procedures at the bedside
• Ability to assist with patient management in the designed specialty in collaboration with the other healthcare providers
• Basic computer skills
  
  

Preferred

• Masters of Science of Physician Assistant Studies with focus in specialty field
• At least 6 months of clinical experience in a specialty
• Surgical Services:
• Experience with central venous access, chest tube placement and management, and managing general and vascular surgical patients.
• Orthopedic and Spine- General skills for managing care for patients, providing surgical assist support
  
  

Qualifications

• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and current licensure to practice as a PA issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License
• State and Federal DEA Licensure
• Surgical Services: BLS and ACLS

Pay Range

$56.25 - $91.83

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
