Position Description

About The Role

At The Maples , we believe in supporting teenage girls through every step of their emotional and physical healing journey. As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) you’ll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team that includes therapists, dietitians, and other mental health professionals. You’ll provide holistic medical care, focusing on restoring physical health, supporting emotional well-being, and empowering young women to develop healthy relationships with themselves and their bodies. You’ll also engage families in the treatment process, empowering them with education and support as they walk alongside their loved one’s recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and monitor medical stability for adolescent patients with eating disorders
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support long-term recovery.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families about nutrition, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills.
  • Maintain detailed, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
  • Board Certification of a Physician Assistant (PA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with adolescents or individuals with eating disorders.
  • Strong interest in behavioral health, family support/ family counseling, or integrative care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with adolescents and families.
  • Experience in a residential or outpatient behavioral health setting.

  • Holistic clinical judgment that considers both physical and emotional factors.
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication with teens and families, using a supportive and nonjudgmental approach.
