Position Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, contribute to the health and wellness of our community, and work

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical exams and health histories.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with healthcare team members to provide coordinated care.
  • Consult with specialists as needed to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Patient Education:

  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications to promote overall health.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Stay current with medical advancements and attend relevant training and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • For NPs: Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Primary Care.
  • For PAs: Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Certification by a recognized national board (e.g., ANCC, AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
  • Certified medical examiners (CMEs) with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Perform DOT physical exams -(preferred)
  • DEA license Required

Experience:

  • Previous experience in primary care or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
