TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum Family Medicine opportunity at a community-based public health facility in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This role offers a supportive team environment, manageable patient load, and flexibility in scheduling for local or regional providers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Includes 30 minutes of administrative time per day

30-minute lunch break

Setting: Outpatient only

Patient Population: All ages (rural and underserved populations)

Average Patient Volume: 12–13 patients/day (schedule allows for 16; high no-show rate)

Support Staff: RN, MA, and interpreters (team-based pod model)

Work Style: Team-based with physician supervision available

Telehealth: Not included in this role

EMR System: CureMD

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of Family Medicine or Primary Care experience preferred

Certification: Board Certified NP or PA

Licensure: Active North Carolina license

Certifications: BLS (required)

Supervision: Physician supervision provided

Enrollment: Prior Medicare/Medicaid enrollment preferred
