Retina Partners of Northwest Arkansas is a high-volume, physician-led retina specialty practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care for patients with complex retinal diseases. Our clinic focuses on advanced medical retina care, intravitreal injections, cutting-edge diagnostics, and participation in clinical trials. Position Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our retina team. The PA will work closely with a board-certified retina specialist to provide comprehensive care to patients with retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, and other vitreoretinal diseases.
This role is ideal for a motivated PA who enjoys specialty medicine, procedural care, and working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient histories and comprehensive clinical assessments

Perform and document ophthalmic exams under physician supervision

Assist with and independently perform procedures as permitted, including intravitreal injections (training provided if needed)

Review diagnostic testing (OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography)

Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with retina physicians

Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care

Accurately document encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Coordinate care with technicians, physicians, and administrative staff

Support clinical research and trials when applicable
Qualifications
-
Current Physician Assistant license in Arkansas (or eligibility for licensure)

NCCPA certification required

Prior experience in ophthalmology or retina is preferred but not required

Strong interest in specialty medicine and procedural care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care
