Capek Plastic Surgery is a medical practice offering advanced cosmetic Plastic Surgery and noninvasive MedSpa services from the unique perspective of a female plastic surgeon. Position Summary

Reporting to Dr. Capek, the Physician Assistant (PA) will perform professional, and confidential, patient care in the office and operating suite both independently and in support of Dr. Capek. As the “2nd in command” clinically the PA will be expected to set the example, train and lead the clinical teams and be ready to take the lead, in alignment with the Dr. Capek's vision, when she is not present.

As specified by state law and board regulation, the PA will have direct cognizance, or be expected to support Dr. Capek through recording medical histories, performing examinations, ordering laboratory tests, developing a treatment plan, pre-operative patient education, training clinical staff, aesthetic medical treatments and performing surgical procedures.

What You Must Bring to This Role

  • Completion of a Master’s Degree program certified by the National Commission of Certification of PAs - required
  • Nationally certified PA-C with DEA, a New York State PA License in good standing & evidence of regular participation in ongoing professional development - required
  • Demonstrated success developing & deploying training/development/in-services within a practice - required
  • History of working within and leading small, sometimes “all hands-on deck” teams - required
  • Overwhelming appreciation for proper maintenance of medical records & adherence to HIPAA and other related protocols - required
  • Demonstrated professional bed-side manner - required
  • Demonstrated leadership adopting Medical Technology/Information Technology - required
  • Track record of absolute intolerance for tardiness, absenteeism and professionally immature behavior - required
  • Demonstrated success injecting local anesthesia and suture wounds with clinical & cosmetic excellence - required

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated success delivering PRP for both skin rejuvenation and hair loss - desired
  • Demonstrated success delivering LASER treatments for hair removal, spider veins, telangiectasias, pigmentation/sun damage, acne scars, wrinkles, collagen stimulation, rosacea - desired
  • Trained in and prior success with Cutera, Excel V, Laser Genesis, and Nd:Yag LASER equipment - desired
  • Trained in and prior success with TempSure radio frequency (RF) equipment - desired
  • Trained in and prior success with CoolSculpting, SkinPen Microneedling & Hydrafacial equipment - desired
  • Trained in and prior success with Injectables - Botox, fillers, Sculptra, Kybella - desired

Working Conditions & Physical Efforts

  • Work is performed under stressful conditions, and irregular hours in an office work environment
  • May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients
