The Organ Transplantation Division at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) is seeking a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse to provide exceptional care for pre-transplant patients. The Organ Transplantation Division at HUMC is a leading transplant center in the NYC/NJ metropolitan area and among the fastest-growing in the nation. 

Opportunity Highlights & Responsibilities:

• Join a dynamic network and collaborate with experienced physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, specialists, and support staff.
• Full-Time, Day Shift: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm).
• Strong and detailed orientation period spanning three - six months.
• Provide exceptional patient care for patients pre-kidney or pre-pancreas transplant.

• Conduct histories and physicals on transplant candidates.
• Collaborate with nephrologists in dialysis planning. 
• Orders lab work and tests in accordance with national standards.
• Provides education and support to patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant (PA) program AND licensed by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners
• Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant License in the State of New Jersey, Active CDS, DEA, ACLS, BLS
• Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician 's Assistants (NCCPA) within one year of initial employment by the Medical Center
• Completion of Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, ethics, professionalism, adaptability, and determination
