Hi FL PA Community,
As stated yesterday, FAPA received some great news that our House Bill 431 was just filed. This is our PA Autonomy Bill.
We await the arrival of our Senate version of this Bill. Hopefully, this will come out later this week.
These bills are very long and comprehensive to our PA practice here in Florida. As such, these bills are subject to possible changes via amendments. This happens very often. This is not a bad thing either. FAPA leadership including our LGA (Legislative) team do review these changes and the wording of these Bills on a daily basis.
As such, we have seen some wording with the original house bill that will be amended for clarity purposes. As President of FAPA, please feel free to email me at my below email address for any thoughts that you may have regarding our Bill.
Going forth, we need to make sure we all are United in our efforts to get this bill passed.
Let’s shine with our positive energy. Help FAPA win this for our patients and for the PA community.
We need you all to donate to the Florida PAC! We need to raise $25k between now and February 19th. Our hard-working PAC Committee, led by Allison Justice and Yvette Saldana, will be sending out messages soon to you all.
Please consider being a member of FAPA too. As a member, you will receive weekly email updates on specific events and mtgs related to our Bill during this session. Please join FAPA Leadership via Town Hall mtg (Zoom) this Thursday evening for a positive discussion of our Bill including word changes that we will make. We will have other town hall mtgs in February as well.
Thanks again and remember please remain positive! FAPA is working hard for the profession!
