In a recent Arkansas State Medical Board Meeting, the one hour requirement for Supervision Physicians and proximity of PAs was unanimously voted to be removed. This will not likely go in effect until sometime in January and it was affirmed in the meeting that existing physician assistants would not need to send in any amended protocols to reflect this ruling. Official notice will likely be mailed out to providers in January and/or posted to the Arkansas State Medical Board website.
