In 2025 Session, we are currently waiting for HB686 hearing in the Senate Committee, set for 3/24/25, which we oppose as originally drafted.

Our message as of 3/23 remains: "As written, HB 686 removes a voice that is critical to our profession, and protections critical to us as individuals. We fully support amending this bill to expand the PA voice, which the sponsor also supports. Please amend this bill to increase the number of Physician Assistants on the Board of Medical Examiners."

Please note that the discussion of amending this bill is public and sent to all PAs by the bill sponsor, but the bill in the 3/24/25 hearing is the originally drafted bill. To amend this, the bill MUST be opposed before a discussion on the amendment is to begin.
