Professional Achievements:

During the first 20 years of my civilian PA career I have worked in orthopedic and spine surgery. After a deployment to Poland with the Army National Guard in 2023, I decided to make a change. The practice that I had been a part of for 10 years was on the cusp of becoming just another corporate owned healthcare practice. I'm sure you know the type. The corporation cares about the corporation; patients and practitioners take a back seat to the bottom line. Therefore, I joined a well respected, accomplished, and patient-oriented interventional pain management private practice. At the time of this metamorphosis I had also gained some knowledge through continuing education on weight management and the treatment of obesity.

My supervising physician and I decided to partner in a wellness and aesthetics practice. Focusing first on weight optimization and then expanding into hormone replacement therapy, anti-aging, regenerative medicine, and treatment options such as peptide therapy. We then became educated and certified in various aesthetic treatments - neurotoxins, dermal fillers, lip fillers, biostimulant fillers, mesotherapy, sclerotherapy, hair regeneration, exosomes, PDRN, micro needling, and more. As our experience and education into the arena of aesthetics expanded we were introduced to multiple different technologies. We have invested in some of the newer technologies available such as Quantum RF (radiofrequency), T-Shape 2, and Plasma IQ. We have learned that by starting from the inside and making people healthy, patients will see and feel the difference. They will be more compliant and follow a healthier lifestyle.

To come full circle, we focus on guiding patients to their own best personal weight. We optimize their hormone levels and minimize cortisol. We focus on sleep, proper nutrition, and exercise. We add peptides such as NAD+ and BPC-157 for mitochondrial health and energy and microbiome restoration. We also incorporate some of the aesthetic energy treatments into the pain management practice providing a non pharmaceutical and proven option to an already well-established and successful interventional program. This new chapter in my civilian career is rewarding beyond my expectations.

During my 33 year plus military career I have deployed to Iraq twice and most recently to Poland in 2023. I have achieved the rank of LTC and over the last year have become DA-select for O-6. I enjoy treating Soldiers and hope to one day serve as the deputy State Surgeon General for the Louisiana Army National Guard before I retire at the age of 60 years old.
