Professional Achievements:
Dr. Salahshor is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. Dr. Salahshor has been a Physician Assistant (PA) for over 28 years and has worked in Hospital Medicine, Geriatrics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Bariatric Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Abdominal Transplant Surgery and Liver Transplant. She served three years in the US Army Reserves. She works as needed at Mayo Clinic Florida.
She is a past president of the Florida Academy of PAs (FAPA). She created and developed FAPA Leadership Academy during her president elect year. She serves on several committees, workgroups and taskforces and is an advocate for legislative matters, to include, advanced practice providers (APPs) working at the highest level of their training and license, increase use of PAs in rural health and psychiatry and increase access to timely care.
She is a First Aid Instructor (MHFA). She is certified to teach the youth, adult, higher education, military and service and members has a MHFA instructor. She is a John Maxwell certified coach, speaker, and facilitator. Dr. Salahshor’s commitment and passion is evident. She is always willing to help others achieve their personal and professional goals.
